The Safe America Foundation conducted a briefing to a standing-room-only crowd on Capitol Hill on October 25. The topic of the lunch briefing was The Foundation's 2008 Safety/Health Priorities. Safe America President & CEO Len Pagano presented the Foundation's Top 10 Safety and Health Priorities for the coming year. Click here to view Mr. Pagano's presentation. Foundation Board Chairman Gary Grube made a presentation on the Intelligent Transportation System; Board Member Dr. Tom Esposito spoke on the growing issue of Emergency and Trauma Care; Jeff Levi, Executive Director of the Trust for America's Heath addressed the group concerning Key Issues of Protecting Youth; and Congressman Rob Andrew (D, N.J.), chairman of the House Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor and Pensions (HELP), spoke on the Washington legislative perspective. Additionally, the winners of the 2008 WorldSafe Leadership Awards and the 1998 and 2007 Safest Kids in America were recoginized and honored.
