TEEN DRIVING INSTITUTE - DRIVING SIMULATION TRAINING
A driver makes over 200 decisions per mile. It is smart to be alert and have the ability to not only be a safe driver, but be prepared to respond defensively if someone else sharing the roadway has not made the same decision. Safe America's Teen Driving Institute curriculum has been designed to include instruction that focuses on the three main causes of death and injury to teens - speed, inexperience, and distractions - as well as other causes of vehicular collisions. The TDI uses state-of-the-art driving simulators to produce life-like images with high resolution 3-dimensional graphics to produce life-like images. Complex, unpredictable and realistic traffic interaction replicates a high degree of accuracy - the types of situations drivers are exposed to when actually driving. Braking, acceleration, steering and cornering responses mimic those of a real car. The simulator replicates what it is like to drive in adverse driving conditions such as rain, ice, and fog, in daylight and at night.
