Safe America and NBC are collaborating on WorldSafe - a global safety education campaign - with a goal of launching the first campaign activities in Beijing in conjunction with the network's coverage of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. The goals of the WorldSafe campaign are to (1) raise awareness of critical safety issues, (2) to assist communities in taking realistic and meaningful actions to address these issues, and (3) to provide a financial safety net so that communities can advance their preparedness to handle future disasters such as tsunamis, hurricanes, earthquakes.
